Making coffee the Taiwanese way

These photos are a couple of weeks old now but I thought it was interesting enough for a post. A couple of weeks ago we went to a tea/coffee farm. We had a great time and took lots of pictures (they are in a previous post). While we were there we had tea and coffee with Mr. Lee, the tea farm owner. He was a very nice man and wanted to teach Justin how to make coffee. No he doesn't use a Mr. Coffee pot. This way was slow but it made delicious coffee to be savored not just chugged.

Justin grinding the coffee with a manual grinder.

Keep grinding... It is lots of work but will be worth it.

Hey that's cool! I want to get one of those.

First you wet the filter

Then add you coffee

Next you make a hole in the center of the coffee for the water to collect.

Slowly add hot water in a circular motion starting from the outside.

Let the water drain into the pot and repeat the above step four times.

Pour a cup while it is hot.

This is going to be so yummy.

Pose for a picture and then drink up!
