Horsing around

A couple of days ago Noah and I had the chance to spend a day at a horse farm. Of course we took the opportunity. I love to be around horses and Noah seems to love them too. This place was so cute, they had a stall for each horse, a grooming area and a work out arena. No pasture, no farmland, but the horses were just as happy as could be. I asked where they got the horses from, they get them from all over the world. They have them shipped, by plane, from the U.S., Holland and New Zealand. Time to meet some horses.

Meet and greet with tall, dark and handsome. I don't remember his name, sorry.

Noah has never done this before. He was very eager to learn but a little cautious because this horse was huge. He is learning to groom the horse.

Making his way around the back. He is moving with more confidence at this point.

Friends for life!

Say hello to Mini! This cute fella is from the U.S.

Mini is the horse that Noah and I are going to ride. Notice the saddle... I have never ridden in an English saddle!

We must wear a helmet. Safety first or no riding at this stables.

Headed to the arena.

Noah taking his instruction. This sweet horse was so gentle with Noah. I think he could tell that Noah was inexperienced.

My turn...I miss riding so much.  But the English saddle was uncomfortable.

So I took it off! This is much better :)

After a ride it is time to groom another horse. This silly guy was the class clown of the stable. He was truly a character. So pretty and young, he is one of the newest additions to the stable and is still adjusting to the noise of the nearby traffic.

He had the cutest heart shaved onto his butt!

Here is is sticking his tongue out at Noah.

He was doing this strange thing with Noah's hair. He would smell Noah's hair...

It would start to tickle his nose....

Then he would make a funny face! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen a horse do.

Time to get serious and get him cleaned up for the day.

The kids get to do all the fun work! No complaints here... Look at the smile on Noah's face.

Lets meet some of the other horses at the stable.
This if Feefee, she is just for fun. The very little kids can groom her and walk her around.

This little guy was very sweet. Many of the children rode him.

Feed me! Please...Please!

This is prince... he was ornery for sure. He would unlock his stall and try to escape. He also had a cute heart shape cut into his hair.

I can't remember this fellas name. He was white with a grey main and white tail.

Meet Deal, Noah really liked him.

Last but not least, this is Diamond... He is so pretty.
